If I had one day to spend with Marilyn, i'd assume that, due to the circumstances, some form of time travel and other mystical forces were now readily exploitable. I'd lay around with her all morning in our underpants sometime in 1986 and watch Saturday morning cartoons. We'd talk at length about what makes Captain N: The Game Master so cool. We'd play Nintendo, eat C3PO's and i'd buy her a Chip N' Pepper t-shirt. I'd take her to see The Goonies, then politely kiss her on the cheek goodnight. I'd whisper in her ear that it was a pleasure to meet her and I hope she had fun. I imagine that somewhere around this point she'd slowly dissolve into thin air a la Back to the Future, and from then on my life would never be the same. I'd tell my friends, none of which would believe me. I'd continue on in my life always wondering if maybe that one, special day was just a dream. And then when the light is about to leave my eyes, i'd hope she'd be there. Waiting for me. Ready with a bowl of C3PO's at the end of that bright tunnel we keep hearing so much about.Hoping that one special day meant just as much to her, as it did for me. @smichm #MyWeekWithMarilyn pheend at hotmail.com

I would take Marilyn straight to Harth TV/bnotions for a studio party, then over to Spirits for drinks or over to Yorkville for a late dinner, squeeze in a show, and if it's the right Saturday it's off to the after-hours with the live jazz/funk (whose name I shall not put here because it's already too popular!)

email: seanward.net at gmail dot com

did I mention it's almost my birthday? And did I mention that a mystic once did a reading and concluded that I was Marilyn Monroe in my last life?

Blacklisted vet - The Dufferin/Queen Animal Hospital located on Queen Street at Beaconsfield. AWFUL AWFUL vet. Not only have I had nothing but bad experiences here, I frequently find notices posted (by different people) in our fave dog park (Stanley Park!) warning other dog owners about this vet.

I get my boxer's nails trimmed at SPaw on King West (across from Stanley Park). They are quick (even for walk-in appointments) and do a good job! Our dog loves popping in for a trim on his way to or from the park.

Glad to hear your review of When Hounds Fly - we've been considering going there in the Spring for an obedience refresher!
